 Hello, my name is Mark.

I found after about 20 years of intensive meditative/spiritual/psychological work that my life was not getting better because of the work, in fact, quite the opposite. I came to realize that it was because of trauma (largely from early in my life), and that these practices were not sensitive to that trauma. My meditative/psychological/spiritual practices were aggravating my trauma. And I came to realize how very common a problem this is.

In fact, there is a story that after The Buddha’s awakening God (Brahma) came to him and told him to teach. The Buddha objected because he felt that no one would understand., but God told him, “There are some with little enough sand in their eyes”. The sand in our eyes is caused by overwhelming experiences (trauma), and is so common that few come to experience the kinds of liberation that the Buddha cared to impart.

PTSM is, I believe, the simplest answer to the complex problem… How do we meet experience (meditate) in such a way that distortions of energy (that we experience as psychological trauma) are systematically resolved?
